Windows keyboard layouts

This directory contains some custom keyboard layouts for Windows. They have all been created with the Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (KLC).

German (IBM, no dead keys)

English (USA, International, AltGr dead keys)

v1

  • usagrint.exe - English (US, International) keyboard layout, with all dead keys moved to level 3 (AltGr). In other words, this is not an International layout as long as you don't press the AltGr key. Inspired by the us(altgr-intl) XKB layout by Adriaan. Easy one-click installer. (Actually, this is just a 7-Zip self-extracting archive which extracts the installer created by Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator and its dependencies to a temporary location, runs it and deletes it afterwards. If you want to peek inside the archive, then either open this file directly using 7-Zip or get the ZIP file below.)
  • usagrint.zip - Same as above, but as an archive containing all the necessary keyboard layout DLLs for different architectures, including an installer created by Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator (setup.exe) which installs the DLL for your current architecture and registers the keyboard layout. Also contains the KLC source file so that you can modify the keyboard layout.
  • usagrint.png - Visualization of the keyboard layout. Red keys are dead keys, blue keys can be reached with AltGr.
  • usagrint.svg - SVG version of the PNG file above. Based on KB US-International.svg from Wikimedia Commons.

v2

  • usagrin2.exe - Same as usagrint.exe (i. e. version 1), but AltGr + B outputs the TM ("Trade Mark") symbol. Previously, this key was not used.
  • usagrin2.zip - Same as usagrint.zip (i. e. version 1), but AltGr + B outputs the TM ("Trade Mark") symbol. Previously, this key was not used.
